The parish offers a Religious Education Program aimed at helping parents assist their children in growing in the Catholic Faith. The program, taught by volunteers, covers grades one through high school for those not attending St. Louis School. All children not attending a catholic school should be enrolled in a formal religion program. All of the Religious Education programs at St. Louis Parish follow the standards and curriculum set forth by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. All text books are in compliance with the United States Council of Catholic Bishops. The Archdiocesan Mission Statement of Lifelong Faith Formation calls for a program that transmits Catholic beliefs, traditions and values; and fosters the development of a living, conscience and active faith. In Catholic tradition, faith is formed primarily in the family and is supported by the parish community. Religious education includes sacramental preparation for First Eucharist and First Reconciliation in the second grade, and Confirmation in the eighth grade. To register for the Religious Education Program or to offer your services as a volunteer in the program, call or email the Director of Religious Education. Volunteers to teach, serve as assistant teachers, or monitor drop-offs are always appreciated.
High School Religious Education is offered on Wednesday evenings.
